TENCEL
It is a material made of wood cellulose. The entire process of creating tencel is based on purifying and dissolving cellulose with n-methylmorpholine n-oxide (NMMO). This method is environmentally friendly, the NMMO solvent used is non-toxic and, above all, safe for the body. It is most appreciated for its softness, breathability and comfort.
ADVANTAGES:
- Relatively little water is used for the entire tencel production process.
- It is not attacked by moths, fungi or bacteria.
- It does not sensitize.
- Composted tencel clothing biodegrades within approx. 6 weeks.
- It has excellent breathing properties.
- It regulates the temperature, making it suitable for any season. - The fibers are soft and very strong.
DISADVANTAGES:
- Crumbling
- very low resilience.
- Tencel is a material that absorbs dyes poorly and therefore requires proper care for the product
